That’s right …. You could turn the fireplace on while still dining out, you could unlock the front door for a delivery while on vacation miles away, you could check to make sure the kids arrive home safely from school and turn on their favorite television program while sitting in a work meeting … the possibilities are endless! Imagine living in a home with complete touch pad control from a variety of electronics and mobile devices. We are excited to announce that our upcoming Dream Home will feature this with the “g! System by Elan”.According to the Elan Home Systems website, this exciting, cutting edge technology, offers the following:“At the heart of the new g! system are eye-popping user interfaces that deliver unparalleled ease-of-use and control of your entire home. An intuitive and uniform navigation scheme makes using the system ultra user-friendly, from across the room or across the globe. Individual "apps" allow you to seamlessly control each of your home's subsystems - such as security, climate, lighting, media and more – even while on the go from your iPhone or PC. With g! you're always in touch, and in control.”Celebrities, including Famous Baker Buddy Valastro of Cake Boss , are crazy about this new technology, restaurant chains like Buffalo Wild Wings are installing and loving the state of the art g! system, and even America’s greenest new home located in Sarasota, FL features the product! You have to come check this out! Our Dream Home model will be open for touring starting on Saturday, March 3rd. We will have iPads in hand waiting to show you the new g! System by Elan!

Making The Old Feel New at a Recently Completed Edina Home
In the spirit of the New Year we thought we’d share some photos of a home that we recently completed in which we were able to make the old feel new again. This was a fun and unique project because we were able to reclaim and reuse the exterior stone from the original home; and incorporate it into a stunning, screened porch patio with a two-sided, wood burning fireplace. It was exciting to be able to use both timber and stone from the original home in the new home. In the photos below, you can see the exterior of the original home followed by photos of the finished, reclaimed stone on the new home. Reclaimed is the new “new”! At REFINED we make it a priority to find ways, with each property, to seamlessly blend the new home into the neighborhood while maintaining the integrity and history of the original home. These are the little details that might not be obvious to everybody, but are very important to us. Original Home New Home
Screened Porch with Two-sided, Reclaimed Stone Fireplace
This stylish home was fun to build and see the small details come to life. Overall it turned out great, and even though we don’t have fully furnished photos yet, we had to share some candid shots. Happy New Year!
