"We enjoyed working with Kathy to update the main level of her longtime home. Designed and built by her brother, Kathy's parents lived in her house for many years. Her father was in the lumber business, so Kathy has a deep appreciation for the quality and details of the original construction. A vital component of this renovation was respecting the original design, and then adding the modern convenience and style of a chef's kitchen, updated bathrooms, and a more open main living area. One of the most fun aspects of the project was Kathy's sense of humor and her openness to pushing the design envelope. This original 1970s home in Edina’s Normandale Park neighborhood was ready for a new look! Our REFINED Remodeling team gave the entire main floor a refreshing design update. The highlight of this stunning renovation is the gourmet eat-in kitchen, which flows effortlessly into the dining and living areas. The main floor also includes a cozy sitting room with a gas fireplace that's perfect for lingering over a glass of wine or settling in with a good book. Moving to the second floor, we updated the master suite to be a sophisticated and peaceful retreat.
