Major Remodel for a busy Edina Family

Our team recently helped a busy family of five transform their Edina home. Today, we’re excited to share a peek inside!

One of the biggest goals the family had for their home was to expand their living space. The remodel included a complete overhaul of the main level, lower level, and owner’s bedroom. To expand the square footage and give the family the space they needed, we built an addition on the back of the home.

The addition allowed us to create a new family room complete with a stunning fireplace hearth, a larger dining room, a spacious mudroom, and a shared office space perfect for working from home or completing homework. It also provided plenty of room for a custom sports alley and bar area in the remodeled lower level.

Located in the Arden Park neighborhood of Edina, this active family of five was ready to transform their main level, lower level, and owner’s bedroom. This lower-, main-, and upper-level addition to the rear of the existing home created a new family room with a gorgeous fireplace hearth area, larger dining room, more functional shared office space for working/school from home, updated mudroom, among other beautiful updates. One highlight that this addition provided was a new sport alley and remodeled lower-level media/bar area to enjoy while taking turns practicing their slapshots or corner kicks!

REFINED Remodeling: Bold Lower Level Lounge

We are so excited to share this stunning Edina project from REFINED Remodeling! Our team enjoyed helping this lovely family renovate their lower level playroom into an expanded wet bar and lounge, and remodel their existing sports court into an exercise studio, home office, and play space.

A few of our favorite design highlights from this project include the custom iron bar table base by Loftus Ornamental Iron, custom cabinets by JD Woodcraft, accent lights by Filament Lighting, and the elegant interior design by our friends at Eminent Interior Design.

As we all know well, the past year has significantly impacted how we live in and feel about our homes. From quarantine to working and schooling from home to entertaining mostly outdoors, so much of our lives happened at home in 2020.
