Design Trends: Playful Kids Bathrooms

When it comes to personalized design, we can think of few places more suited for experimentation than kids bathrooms. Because these spaces are hidden away and not often used by guests, kids bathrooms are a perfect playground for fresh and fun trends!

Our clients are looking to build homes that reflect their unique families and style - down to their littlest members. After all, children are just as impacted by their surroundings as adults! Starting the day in a bright, stimulating space inspires their growing minds.

Want to know our practices for creating a fun and functional kids bathroom? We seek out products and finishes that are built to stand the test of time (and can withstand a little abuse). Another focus is accessibility; kiddos need to be able to reach those sinks, knobs, etc. Lastly, we highly recommend adding plenty of extra storage and double sinks if you've got the room for them.

Trees From Refined: Planting Time!

We've been waiting and watching; spring is in the air, and it's time to get our hands in some dirt! This past Monday, in partnership with Southview Design, our crew began planting 100 new trees in Edina.

After launching our community tree planting program, Trees from REFINED, this past year, we're elated to see our plans come to fruition. We hope to admire many beautiful, growing trees for years to come!

Spring Planting: Trees from REFINED

Spring has finally arrived in the Twin Cities, and we couldn't be more excited! Besides our eagerness to get back outside to enjoy the warm sun and fresh air, we've been impatiently awaiting spring because it means it's time to plant some trees.

A few months ago, we introduced you to our new community tree planting program, Trees from REFINED. Alongside our partner at Southview Design, our mission is to create a thriving network of donated and planted trees in our community. We want to give back to our community and help sustain the Twin Cities' beautiful natural tree canopy for years to come.

This year, we're giving away and planting 100 new trees together in the Edina community. Our only major roadblock? The longest winter in recent memory has continually pushed back our planting schedule! (Seriously, April blizzards? C'mon, mother nature!)

Now that the snow is all nearly melted, it's go-time at long last, and we're ready to plant some trees! If you live in Edina, look for the Southview crew out planting in your neighborhood soon. And don't forget to follow us on social media to get updates along the way.
